Remembering Robin Williams

By | Articles, Other

I have been meaning to make a post about Robin Williams’ death, but I’ve been preoccupied with storm devastation. Our newly-finished basement was one of the many destroyed by the floods that moved through Southeast Michigan on 8/11. We lost a lot of valuable and cherished belongings, but fortunately I was able to save the new MOMorial!

I don’t have anything profound to add at this point, other than let us try to remember Robin Williams for the incredible person he was, not the tragic manner in which he died. His life, and all the faces of your loved ones on the salvaged MOMorial, are a constant reminder that depression and suicide know no boundary and we have more work to do. And starts by taking off the masks we wear to hide our pain from the world.

We all wear a mask
