Has your life been touched by mental illness or suicide? Are you looking to prioritize self-care during the pandemic? If so, please join us for the 16th Annual MOM Race for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention on Saturday, May 1, 2021. While we can’t all be together for our usual Royal Oak run/walk, there are some perks to a Virtual MOM Race. You get to select your race location, starting time, and even the date if 5/1/21 doesn't work for you. And your out-of-state friends and family members can participate alongside you remotely. Plus, the Virtual MOM Race is not limited to a 5K run/walk. Your fitness challenge could be a bike ride, hike, yoga, or ANYTHING that gets you outside for at least 30 minutes of exercise during Mental Health Month! This is your chance to remember a loved one lost to suicide, pay tribute to someone bravely battling mental illness, or honor your mom for Mother's Day. Help us stomp out the stigma by sharing photos and videos documenting your MOM Race journey on social media using #VirtualMOMRace2021 #KeepOnTruckin #PandemicSelfCare #BreakTheStigma.
